About You
Are you skilled in staff rostering and providing support during crises in the mental health or disability sector? Are you calm under pressure and able to juggle multiple tasks during high-stress situations? If so, we may have the perfect opportunity for you.
Additional attributes we are looking for include:
- Highly organised, with effective interpersonal & communication skills
- Ability to problem solve, think on your feet and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to navigate various IT platforms and proven IT and administrative skills
- Prior experience in rostering, and an understanding and knowledge of the SCHADS award
- Prior experience working in mental health or related field and understanding of behavioural support plans an advantage
About the Role
As a Casual Workforce Facilitator, you'll play a key role in managing the daily rostering of staff who provide support to clients with complex mental health needs. Your focus will be on ensuring all shifts are scheduled at least two weeks in advance, maintaining consistency and reliability in service delivery. You'll also be the first point of contact for responding to on-shift incidents—ensuring occupational health and safety procedures are followed, escalating issues when necessary, and providing staff with the appropriate support and aftercare.
This role entails:
- Provide Support to Team Leaders and Practice Leaders as required
- Participate in our after-hours ‘Incident Hotline’ (IHL), providing support and crisis management for staff on shift, including recording, tracking and reporting to relevant bodies
- Manage rostering and shift changes as they arise to ensure client support is provided as necessary
- Coach support workers to actively seek own solutions through encouraging accountability and problem solving
- Ensure handover notes are completed on each shift and appropriate information and actions sent to the relevant staff in order for continuity of supports
Shifts will include the following hours:
Week 1 - Thursday 7:00am - 3:30pm & Saturday 7:00am - 3:00pm
Week 2 - Tuesday 8:30am - 5:00pm, Friday 2:30pm - 10:30pm & Saturday 2:30pm - 10:30pm
This is a hybrid role, allowing for the successful applicant to be able to work from home, as well as from one of our Head office located in Dandenong South.
It is a requirement of this position to meet all compliance requirements concerning NDIS Work Screening, Working With Children's Check, work rights and possess a current & valid driver’s licence.
